The S-70i Black Hawk helicopters, produced by PZL Mielec, are of the same family as the UH-60M Black Hawks.

These helicopters have demonstrated their versatility and reliability during recent flood responses in southern Poland, following rainfall in Wroclaw from 13 to 16 September brought by the Boris storm.

With a maximum gross weight of 9,979 kg, the utility version of the Black Hawk helicopter can transport 12 fully equipped, seated troops.

PZL president general director Janusz Zakręcki said: “This delivery of the last two contracted Black Hawk helicopters brings the Polish Armed Force’s fleet to eight aircraft, which will significantly enhance their operational capabilities and increase the country’s security.
