Jacobs has secured a task order to provide counterintelligence, counterterrorism and human intelligence support to the 902nd Military Intelligence Group at Fort Meade in Maryland, US.

The contract has been awarded by the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).

It has a period of five years and is valued at approximately $235m.

Jacobs’ work under the current contract allows for critical sensitive activities in various fields.

Some of the areas that the activities will focus on include evaluation of damage caused by cyber intrusion, digital media forensics and human intelligence targeting.

Jacobs Critical Mission Solutions cyber and intelligence senior vice-president Caesar Nieves said: “Jacobs continues to bolster its cyber and intelligence portfolio with this significant contract, which builds on our longstanding relationship with the US Army and reinforces our commitment to support the mission of the 902nd Military Intelligence Group and INSCOM.

“To meet the continuously evolving threats facing national security, we’re harnessing our advanced cyber and intelligence solutions along with our integrated approach and wide-ranging programme support capabilities to deliver innovative, mission-focused outcomes that are important to our customers.”

In August last year, the UK MoD selected a team that includes Jacobs to develop a system to aid the army in carrying out vital reconnaissance tasks safely in the water.
