As agreed, the deliveries will include Senop Soldier’s Laser Sight M20, Senop Tactical Laser M20 and Senop NVG M40 Monocular image intensifiers.

The Laser Sight M20 is a simple easy-to-use laser sight capable of withstanding high recoils and extremely demanding use in military conditions. The tactical version is a multi-functional laser sight with a visible laser, an infra-red (IR) laser, and an IR illuminator.

The Senop NVG M40 is a lightweight high-performance night vision monocular designed for demanding battlefield conditions.

All the devices are designed by Senop in collaboration with the Finnish Defence Forces (FDF). The systems were also tested in demanding conditions since 2019.

Senop managing director Aki Korhonen said: “In this programme, the end-user of the equipment, the soldier, has been at the centre.

“For this reason, field tests and feedback from the test team have played a major role in the development. Our engineers have supported operations on the field, thus completing ergonomics and durability. The co-operation with FDF has been excellent.”

The deliveries are expected to be completed by the end of October next year.

Senop focuses on delivering advanced optronic solutions for the defence and industrial markets. The company has four locations in Finland and employs around 60 specialists.

In May, Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (KDA) awarded a subcontract to Senop to support its National/Norwegian Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS) export programmes.
