Polaris Government and Defense have won a contract from the Government Services Administration (GSA) to deliver lightweight tactical all-terrain vehicle (LTATV).
The $109m contract has been awarded in support of the US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).

Under the seven-year contract, the company will provide the Polaris MRZR Alpha LTATV.

Polaris MRZR Alpha features off-road capabilities and can be easily carried in a helicopter.

By GlobalDataTo design the vehicle, the company’s engineers used the knowledge gained from snowmobile chassis design, redesigned sport RZR changes and off-road race team alterations.
The MRZR Alpha vehicle will be assembled in Roseau in Minnesota, US.
Polaris Government and Defense vice-president Jed Leonard said: “Polaris has had the privilege of providing vehicles to USSOCOM since 2005 and we take a great deal of pride in delivering and supporting the current LTATV.
“The Polaris MRZR Alpha supports USSOCOM’s requirements for durability, performance, payload profile and internal air transportability.”
First introduced in 2012, the MRZR platform is in operation with the US military and 40 other allied forces.
