The testing was conducted to validate the integration of the Nemo turreted mortar system into a 20in sea container.

Patria said that the Nemo Container performed as expected and 'the concept of the 20in sea container with 120mm turreted mortar system was proving its ingenuity by combining unforeseen flexibility / mobility and firepower during the testing'.

"The container has enough space to accommodate a crew of three, including two loaders and a gunner."

It can be operated as a stand-alone firing unit, both with direct and indirect fire, making it suitable for camp protection.

The Patria Nemo Container can be integrated directly on land, while Patria Nemo Navy can be integrated directly onto naval platforms.

The container has enough space to accommodate a crew of three, including two loaders and a gunner, and features a power unit, air conditioning system, and access and escape hatches.

It includes all the equipment required by a mortar unit in a single package and delivers protection for crew, weaponry and ammunition, according to the company.

With a capacity to accommodate 100 mortar bombs, the container can be easily moved into a firing position on a high-speed boat, ship or truck.
