The Excalibur Ia-2, the enhanced version of Excalibur Ia-1, has been upgraded to meet the projected threat environment while maintaining true precision and accuracy.
The precision-guided projectile complements air-delivered precision during non-availability of close air support.
US Army Excalibur product manager lieutenant colonel Mike Milner said: "The Excalibur Ia-2 rounds going into theatre will give the war-fighter the ability to accurately defeat targets before the target can run and hide."
