Designated BTS-5B, the new towing vehicle is equipped with a powerful four-stroke engine that provides a maximum speed of over 60km/h and a 700km cruising range.

Therefore, the manufacture of the prototype of a new multi-purpose towing vehicle – combining important functions several cars – is completed."
Upon induction into the forces, the vehicle will be used to carry out mechanical intelligence on the battlefield, emergency evacuation of damaged tanks from the hot zone, and withdrawal of stuck or sunken tanks.
