Patria has received a contract from the UAE Armed Forces to supply 8x8 armoured modular vehicles (AMV).
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Patria Land business unit president Mika Kari said: "UAE Armed Forces have been very satisfied with their existing AMV vehicles as they meet all the customer's needs and are suitable for the challenging circumstances.
"These vehicles will be produced by our Polish partner in a tight time schedule."
Patria AMV provides effective protection, increased mobility and modularity. Its structural solutions allow high payload capacity, high levels of protection, and the integration of a heavy weapon system.
The AMV was used in combat and crisis management operations in Afghanistan and Chad.
Its product family uses the same hull platform fitted with turrets and mission systems for each of its variants, which include an armoured personnel carrier, an infantry-fighting vehicle, a heavy mortar system, a command post, a workshop and a battlefield ambulance.
The firm currently has contracts for around 1,400 Patria AMV vehicles.
The maximum internal volume of the 8×8 AMV vehicle is 13m³. Its maximum combat weight and payload are 25t and 10t respectively.
The AMV can travel at more than 100km/h, and has an operating range of 800km. It can negotiate 60% forward slopes, 30% side slopes, 0.7m steps, and trenches up to 2m in width.
