Jacobs Engineering has received a contract from the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) to support the service provision and transformation contract associated with the MoD’s strategic support supplier (SSS) project.
The contract requires the company to provide technical support for the SSS project, which ensures the availability of land equipment for the British Army, the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy.
The three military services will use the land equipment for training and operations.
The project aims to improve the way land equipment is maintained, repaired and stored, Jacobs said in a statement.
Jacobs Nuclear and Defense vice-president Alan Seywright said: “Jacobs has worked with the MoD for more than 30 years, and we’re proud to continue this longstanding relationship.
“We look forward to contributing our advanced systems lifecycle capability in large and complex defence projects to support the SSS project objectives.”
