The company will also provide Falcon II tactical radios including the RF-5800H high-frequency manpack for beyond-line-of-sight terrestrial communications and RF-5800V handheld, a lightweight radio for VHF line-of-sight communications.

Harris RF Communications International Business president Brendan O’Connell said the solution fully leverages the firm’s mission-critical communications capabilities across a full spectrum of national security applications.

"The system delivers secure, interoperable communications in fixed and transportable configurations, providing real time situational awareness integrating both Falcon II tactical communications and public safety networks," O’Connell added.

Integrating Harris’ communication system and radio solutions over a single integrated network, the system provides secure communications that protect the nation’s strategic installations during natural disasters.
