The US Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) has contracted Engility to deliver specialised solutions and full-system lifecycle support for advanced communications systems.

Part of the deployable communications capabilities system (DCCS) project, the $49m contract is firm-fixed-price and has a period of three years.

"This win continues a valued relationship with USNORTHCOM and highlights our team’s ability to deliver highly technical solutions."

Engility will provide full-system life cycle support to USNORTHCOM, which includes capability design, solutions development, engineering, systems modifications, technical refresh, training and repairs.

Engility systems are capable of protecting non-secure data, voice, and video services for single operators or joint task forces.

The solutions are based on soldier-carried, vehicular and transit-case platforms.

Engility CEO Tony Smeraglinolo said: "This win continues a valued relationship with USNORTHCOM and highlights our team’s ability to deliver highly technical solutions that put the needs of the customer and operators first."
