The Czech Army has grounded its four CASA C-295M military planes after encountering an equipment failure before landing, army spokesperson Mira Trebicka said.
"A navigation display and some board devices stopped working during the landing manoeuvre. Then a defect of the right engine occurred," said Trebicka.

Army general Vkastimil Picek said a commission will be set up to investigate the case and the grounding will be in effect until the end of inquiry.
The aircraft were previously grounded in February and May 2011 following problems, such as a sharp drop in altitude midflight and avionics system failure respectively.
The CASA C-295M planes were deployed to replace Czech Army’s Antonov An-26 fleet in 2010.
