Cubic Global Defense has secured a contract to support the US Army Europe (USAREUR) joint multinational readiness centre (JMRC) in Hohenfels, Germany.

Under the terms of the Operations, Planning, Training and Resource Support Services II (OPTARSS II) award, the company will provide education, training and exercise support services.

Cubic Global Defense will also provide designing, building and implementing products used during training rotations.

The contract includes the provision of support services to develop exercise scenarios and scripts for the classroom, field and other interactive learning activities.

"Cubic continues to play a key role in providing live, virtual, constructive and game-based training and these contracts expand our footprint in support of the army's JMTC in Europe."

Cubic Global Defense president Bill Toti said: "Cubic continues to play a key role in providing live, virtual, constructive and game-based training and these contracts expand our footprint in support of the army's JMTC in Europe.

"We look forward to working with JMSC in simulation and JMRC in manoeuvre to best optimise training capabilities for mission readiness in support of the USAREUR and partner nations."

The four-year, $3.6m contract extends a five-year contract previously secured by the company, which provided support for JMRC simulation and manoeuvre training.

One of the seven directorates under USAREUR's 7th Army Joint Multinational Training Command (JMTC), JMRC provides realistic, complex operational environments supported by observer coach trainer teams (OCT) and opposition forces (OPFOR) to the US Army, as well as European allies and other partner nations.
