BAE Systems has produced more than 15 million Modular Lightweight Load Carrying Equipment (MOLLE) components for the US Army and the Defense Logistics Agency.
The MOLLE is the primary field equipment system used by the army to carry specific equipment and supplies as per mission requirements.
The system, based on the Core Rifleman configuration, consists of a large assault pack, a variety of vests, pockets, backpacks and a hydration system.
The system was first developed in 1997 to improve load-carrying equipment effectiveness and sustain heavier loads.
BAE Protection Systems vice-president Don Dutton said: "The MOLLE system provides users with a completely customisable set of
equipment which allows for readiness, mobility and efficiency of the war-fighter."
