Under the $11.9m contract, Raytheon will continue to support the manufacture, assembly and testing of Patriot missiles through 2010.
The Patriot is a long-range, high-altitude missile system that provides the warfighter a reliable and lethal capability to defeat advanced threats, including aircraft, tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Work will be carried out by Raytheon at its facilities in Massachusetts and Texas, and at the Letterkenny Army Depot in Pennsylvania.
The three-year contract was awarded by the US Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
