EnerDel’s battery chemistries include lithium-manganese spinel chemistry, designed for extending electric vehicle range or electronic systems runtime, and a lithium-titanate system designed for extreme high-power hybrids that require hard acceleration and braking.

The robust battery technology also features an all-electric silent watch that will power the electronics without running the truck’s diesel generator and reduce audible and thermal signatures of the vehicle.

As a hybrid version of the conventional M1113 Humvee, the XM1124 Humvee features a higher top speed, faster acceleration, longer range and improved fuel economy.

The army is also reasearching the potential of the XM1124 Humvee equipped with EnerDel battery technology to function as a portable power plant to power a mobile command post or field hospitals.
