The US Army has contracted General Dynamics to provide information support services to its US Army Pacific unit, USARPAC.

Under the five-year agreement General Dynamics will provide operations with information-assurance services such as IT security policy and engineering support.

The deal is worth $14.5m and was awarded to the General Dynamics technology business unit.

General Dynamics information technology army solutions division senior vice president Zannie Smith said the company will provide secure access to critical information.

“General Dynamics will deliver highly qualified information-assurance professionals to support USARPAC’s vital mission,” he said.
