Raytheon has signed a memorandum of understanding with Indian firm Precision Electronics (PEL) to jointly develop and provide communications technology for India’s armed forces.
The agreement is expected to pave the way for more exchanges of communications technology and business know-how between India and Raytheon.
Raytheon Network Centric Systems international business development vice president Gregory Vuksich says the strategic alignment makes sense for both firms.
“Our Indian associates at PEL are highly respected, proven technology suppliers who bring complementary capabilities, creativity and innovation of great value to India’s military forces,” he says.
PEL provides communications solutions to the military and civil sectors and is poised to garner substantial defence business in the near future.
