Lockheed Martin has received the final order for the US army’s HELLFIRE II Buy 13 contract, valued at US$29m.

The final exercised option for the largest single buy in the history of the HELLFIRE II programme, which is worth a total of US$305.9m, is for 431 rounds.

The total number of rounds under the contract is 4,622.

Deliveries to the US army, navy, airforce and the UK (through a foreign military sale) are scheduled to begin in 2008.
