BAE Systems has received two follow-on delivery orders under the US Marine Corps’ current Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle contract.
Worth US $1.1bn, the add-on contract calls for an additional 600 RG33 Category II vehicles and 668 Caiman Category I vehicles.
BAE is currently contracted to provide 2,730 Category I and 2,444 Category II vehicles.
When combined with previous contracts, BAE’s total MRAP agreements are worth US$2.24bn.
