Thales has reported a 23 percent rise in third quarter revenues on the same period last year.

The group also reported a 19 percent increase in overall revenues for the year so far to €8.2bn, up from €6.9bn in the first nine months of 2006.

Thales says the increase is due to the acquisition of space and security businesses from Alcatel-Lucent, as well as organic growth within the company.

Order intake for the period has increased 13 percent to €7.6bn.
