Racal Acoustics has launched the first digital implemented module of its Digital Communications Platform headset at DSEi in London.

The new technology, which can be easily inserted into existing headsets, acts as a blank canvas allowing other applications to be added in the future.

The initial digital module features a built-in test, ensuring that all user feedback is incorporated into future versions.

Racal says users will benefit from improved hearing protection, allowing them to spend more time in the field, in line with current health and safety regulations.

The module forms the digital engine of a planned suite of products Racal intends to launch over the coming years.
