Thales is to supply Raytheon Missile Systems over 5,000 target detection devices (TDD) for the TOW 2B anti-armour missile system, under a £21.7m agreement.

The company made the announcement at today’s DSEi event in London.

The TOW 2B missile system is a heavy anti-armour weapon, which is extremely versatile on the modern battle field.

Production of the TDDs will begin this year and will continue until 2009.
