Bushmasters have proven to be effective in providing Australian troops with mobility and protection.
The v-shaped monocoque hull of the vehicle provides protection against improvised explosive devices, deflecting blasts away from the vehicle and the crew.
The vehicles are produced in seven military variants that include troop, command, mortar, assault pioneer, direct fire weapon, ambulance and air defence.
Delivery of the additional vehicles will be carried out over the next 18 months.
