Raytheon has received a contract from the US Army Aviation and Missile Command to provide material and technical services in support of the Patriot missile field surveillance programme.
The $15.7m sole-source contract is a follow-on to a three year contract previously awarded in January 2008.

Under the new contract, the company will continue to support the manufacture, assembly and testing of Patriot missiles through 2013.
Work will be carried out by Raytheon IDS at the company’s facilities in Massachusetts and at Letterkenny Army Depot, Pennsylvania, US.
Raytheon IDS is the prime contractor for domestic and international Patriot air and missile defence systems and is also the system integrator for Patriot advanced capability-3 missiles.
