Nepalese Army chief Chhatra Man Singh Gurung and chief of general staff of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Chen Bingde have signed two separate agreements to strengthen military cooperation between the two countries.

According to the agreement, China will provide around Rs1bn ($13.6m) worth of medical equipments and around Rs300m ($4m) worth of construction equipments to the Nepalese Army to support its development endeavours.

The Chinese chief, with a high-profile 18-member military delegation, is on a three-day visit to Nepal to further enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries.
