Saab has awarded a contract to Åkers Krutbruk Protection to develop protected shelter for the Giraffe AMB multimission radar system.
The protected shelter will help Giraffe AMB to continue providing uninterrupted situational awareness and force protection, while warning its crew of incoming rockets, artillery and mortars despite enemy actions.

The development of the solution will start immediately, with deliveries to begin in mid 2011.
