GD Information Technology has been awarded a $122m task order to provide information technology (IT) support to the US Army Europe (USAREUR).

The task order is part of the USAREUR theatre warfighter command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) programme.

GD will provide systems engineering, network integration and configuration, battle command systems support, IT knowledge management, Microsoft SharePoint support, video teleconferencing and web development.

The order has been awarded under the Alliant contract and will extend for five years if all options are exercised.

Work will be carried out at USAREUR headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany, other facilities within Germany and at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo.
