The Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA) has placed a new order with Saab for the delivery of its advanced Carl-Gustaf weapon system ammunition.
Valued at SEK110m ($12.53m), the current order falls under the terms of the company’s framework agreement signed with the NDMA last year regarding Carl-Gustaf ammunition.

Under the agreement, a customer can place orders with Saab for live and training ammunition rounds between last year and 2022.
With deliveries stated to take place this year, the ammunition will be used by the Norwegian Armed Forces, which currently uses M2 and M3 versions of the man-portable Carl-Gustaf weapon.
The Norwegian Armed Forces has been a user of the Carl-Gustaf system for many years and we know that they only want the best ammunition for their soldiers.

Saab’s Carl-Gustaf weapon, which has been delivered to more than 40 countries to date, is continuously being upgraded with new ammunition types and improved capabilities.
Operational since 1948, the weapon has been supporting dismounted infantry across the globe in addressing a complete range of warfighting challenges.
In April this year, the company signed a framework agreement with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) for the Carl-Gustaf weapon system ammunition procurement in line with the requirements of the Swedish Armed Forces.
