Elbit Systems said that its subsidiary, Elbit Systems Sweden, plans to introduce its new Tactical High Mobility Shelter (THMS) at DALO Industry Days 2026 defence exhibition in Denmark.
The platform, described by the company as “highly mobile and rapidly deployable,” is designed to strengthen battlefield connectivity for digitally connected and distributed land forces.

Developed and manufactured in Sweden with a European supply chain, the THMS has been engineered to maintain operational continuity for mobile forces, including in Arctic and extreme weather conditions.
According to Elbit Systems Sweden, the system is a “self-contained unit” capable of autonomous operation for up to 24 hours, functioning independently of its host vehicle.
The THMS is intended to serve as a forward communications and sensing node, providing both line-of-sight and beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) connectivity. Its modular architecture enables integration of a range of payloads, such as tactical communication systems, electronic warfare equipment, electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) sensors, SATCOM, tactical 5G, and high-power laser systems.
The system also features a telescopic mast capable of reaching up to 25 metres and supporting payloads of up to 100kg, designed to increase the effectiveness of communications and sensor equipment across varied terrain.
In addition, the THMS includes automated mast deployment and an automatic guying rope mechanism, which reportedly allows for set-up in under five minutes and reduces operator workload in the field.
According to the company, the shelter is compatible with both tracked and wheeled vehicles to support a wide range of operational requirements.
Elbit Systems Sweden describes the THMS as a mature, ready-to-deploy platform developed in response to the evolving needs of modern, highly mobile armed forces, and highlights its adaptability to future operational technologies.
Elbit Systems Sweden CEO Tobias Wennberg said: “Future land operations will depend on the ability to connect distributed forces, sensors and effectors in real time.
“THMS provides a flexible and rapidly deployable platform designed to extend battlefield connectivity and support next-generation digitalized land operations.”
Prior to its official launch, the THMS was showcased during a major live demonstration of digitalised land force networks to European and Nato clients, where it was utilised to support communications for manoeuvring units operating in contested environments, according to the company.
