A recently granted patent (Publication Number: US11859951B2) discloses an electronic irritation device comprising multiple irritation signal modules, each equipped with optical or acoustic emitters. The device includes a connection device to link the modules and an unlocking mechanism to automatically detach them. Additionally, an activation mechanism triggers the release of the modules, with a control device managing the unlocking process upon activation.

Furthermore, the device features an expansion mechanism to separate the modules post-unlocking. The connection device consists of elements connecting the modules, while the unlocking device comprises mechanisms to release the connection elements. In some embodiments, the housing of the connection device is designed to break upon impact, freeing the modules. Each module includes a control device for emitter operation and a communication device for coordination with other modules or a central controller. Additionally, certain modules may have distance sensors for object detection and integrated energy storage or self-destruction capabilities for added functionality.
