Tarpulin, aligned with SITDEF’s spirit of delivering efficient and practical solutions, showcased its very own design of rapid deployment shelters. This renowned trade show took place in Lima, Peru, and combines the world’s leading companies in defence technology and natural disaster prevention.
National and local TV journalists were the main diffuser of our Inflatable Tent MTN Model, attracting many visitors to Tarpulin’s stand during the four days of exhibition.
The majority of people interested were from both government and private organisations, whose necessity for a solution of providing a well-organised, hand-on solution to social or natural disaster emergencies was successfully met. Tarpulin’s designs of relief camps, quick response disaster field hospitals, command posts were the main attraction of SITDEF.
Due to the worst floods Peru had seen in several years just a couple of months before SITDEF, the authorities were 100% focused on emergency-related new technologies and equipment for support in coordination and rescue work. The disaster left 100 people dead, 1,000 people affected and more than 240,000 damaged homes.
We are happy and grateful for the invitation, and for the opportunity to showcase our products to the Peruvian and international market, as well as for the excellent organisation provided by SITDEF.
