Chemring EOD Ltd are delighted to announce the award of an extension to the long-term enabling contract with the UK Ministry of Defence, to provide equipment and spares to support counter IED and explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) operations.

Through this contract, Chemring EOD will provide the UK MOD with a wide range of equipment. The enabling contract extension, which became effective in January 2012 and will be valid for two years, with an option to extend further.

The contract includes a range of Chemring EOD products for the detection, disruption and initiation of IEDs and conventional munitions. The contract can also be amended to include new products from an evolving catalogue.

Chemring EOD’s sales and marketing director, Paul Taylor, comments: "We are delighted that the MOD has awarded this contract which allows the rapid provision of key equipment. The Framework agreement is a good one and we are already talking to some of our other customers about how we can implement this in other nations."
