Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group has announced the appointment of Patrick Wood as the new chief technical officer and programme management director.

Speaking of his appointment, Patrick said: “It is great to join such a dynamic and innovative aerospace and defence company and I am looking forward to building upon the existing foundation for an exciting future here at Marshall ADG.”

“Patrick joins us to focus on two key areas; driving our Programme Management Office to ensure we continue to deliver for our customers and on the development of a dedicated innovation function that will ensure the Marshall name continues to be synonymous with driving the future of Aerospace and Defence.”

Patrick Wood was previously the director of international advanced programmes and UK country executive for lockheed martin space. He has also held a number of technical and programme management roles at Airbus and its subsidiaries.

Patrick started his career as a design engineer for Thorn EMI after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a BSc (Hons) in Electrical Engineering. He is a fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and the Royal Aeronautical Society.
