General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has secured a $501m joint force development training contract from the US Department of Defense (DoD).

The company will compete with other contenders on task orders to support the US Joint Chiefs of Staff’s J7 training programme in the areas of cybersecurity, planning, analysis, and the development of future training requirements.

The contract has a five-year base period with a six-month extension option. Work will be performed outside Suffolk, Virginia, US.

BAE Systems Land & Armaments, a subsidiary of BAE Systems, has secured a $474m support services contract from the US Army Contracting Command (ACC).

The company will provide system technical support services, as well as sustainment support to the service as part of the contract.

Contractual work will be performed at locations determined on order basis until January 2025.

Saab has received a contract from the Brazilian Army for the supply of new-generation Robotsystem (RBS) 70 NG short-range, man-portable air defence system.

In addition to the RBS 70 NG systems, the company will supply training systems, camouflage systems, and other related equipment.

The RBS 70 NG anti-aircraft missile systems are expected to enhance the Brazilian Army’s air defence capabilities.

RBS 70 NG is the latest version of the RBS 70 man-portable air defence system.

ELTA Systems, a subsidiary of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), has secured a contract for the supply of multi-role counter-battery radars to the Finnish Defence Forces as part of Finland’s armed forces modernisation programme.

In addition to the radar units, the company is mandated to provide necessary training and spare parts under the contract, which includes options for the supply of additional radar units.

System maintenance services will be provided by ELTA Systems’ representative in Finland Telva and Finnish Defence Forces’ strategic partner Millog.

Deliveries pertaining to the contract will be made in 2021.

Triumph Integrated Systems has been awarded a $77m contract by the US Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for the supply of 3,100 enhanced digital electronic control units (EDECUs).

The electronic control units will be installed on the US Army’s UH-60 Black Hawk medium-lift utility helicopters and AH-64 Apache multi-role combat helicopters to enhance their engine control capability.

Contractual work will be performed in the Triumph’s engine and control unit in Connecticut, US, for a period of five years.
