KBRwyle has been awarded a task order by the US Army’s Lower Tier Project Office to provide support for the Patriot missile system of the US and allied forces.

The contractor will provide engineering and technical analysis support, reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) improvements, and training services to enhance the Patriot missile system’s performance.

The $133m order is part of the US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Expedited Professional and Engineering Support Services (EXPRESS) contract. It has a base period of five years with an option for extension by six months.

The US Army Special Operations Aviation Command has placed an order worth $139.8m with The Boeing Company for MH-47G Block II Chinook helicopters.

Boeing will deliver four MH-47G Block II Chinooks to the US Army as part of the order.

The US Army currently operates 69 MH-47G Chinook helicopters.

Northrop Grumman Corporation has received a contract worth $128m from the US Army to continue to provide support for the Mission Command Training Center (MCTC).

“The US Army Special Operations Aviation Command has placed an order worth $139.8m with The Boeing Company for MH-47G Block II Chinook helicopters.”

The contractor will deliver live, virtual, constructive simulation training and exercises, mission staff training, gaming-based training, and technical support to the new Mission Training Complex Contractor Support (MTCCS – III Corps) programme.

The MTCCS-III Corps programme provides mission command training for land-based operations in the contemporary operating environment.

AeroVironment, along with six other companies, has been selected by the US Army to complete $248m-worth task orders for the long-range reconnaissance surveillance (LRRS) and medium-range mobile (MRM) unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).

The five-year contract also covers task orders for the procurement of tactical open architecture controller system, as well as spares and repair parts.

Booz Allen Hamilton has received a contract worth $43m to support the US Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center (NSRDEC).

The company will produce protective equipment such as body armour, helmet systems, protective eyewear, and communications headsets to provide increased protection for soldiers in the battlefield.

Awarded by the US Air Force Installation Contract Agency (AFICA), the contract will last up to five years.
