US-based Advanced IT Concepts (AITC) has secured a contract for the US Army’s Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) Maintenance Program (ATMP).

AITC has been selected to serve as a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems for the ATMP project under the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI).

ATMP has been designed to provide global maintenance support for TADSS, digital ranges and combat training centre (CTC) instrumentation systems.

“This will support training systems such as homestation instrumentation training system, reconfigurable vehicle tactical trainer, and several aviation maintenance trainers.”

AITC president and chief executive officer Gabriel Ruiz said: “AITC is privileged to support the ATMP effort and extremely grateful to Lockheed Martin for having included us as part of their team.

“This contract signals AITC’s recognition as an excellent provider of IT and related training and professional services to the US Army.”

Under the ATMP contract, the company will be responsible for providing technical expertise, including simulation, electronics and supply technical support, information systems, training development, and production control. This will support training systems such as homestation instrumentation training system, reconfigurable vehicle tactical trainer, and several aviation maintenance trainers.

The project is expected to cost between $45m and $50m with additional revenue over the seven-year period of the contract and an additional 65 job opportunities at different AITC facilities.

Currently, the company is supporting a number of PEO STRI efforts to include the upgrade and modernisation of CTCs under the army combat training instrumentation contract, as well as army test ranges under the test network modernisation contract.
