The Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command Headquarters (FDFLCHQ) has placed an order for the delivery of Saab’s training systems for the Finnish Army.

Saab provides expert training support for the Finnish Army’s KASI mobile Combat Training Centre (CTC).

Deliveries of KASI training systems to two new regiments of the Finnish Army are included in the contract.

The company sets up, supports and moves the mobile CTC to different training sites. It has been used by the army as a national training resource for tactical training at all levels since 2005.

“By combining these new training systems with the existing ones, the Finnish Defence Forces will be able to conduct instrumentation training involving up to 2,400 participants.”

Valued at approximately Skr47m ($5.39m), the order will be delivered by the company starting this year.

Thegström added: “The order is in line with our long-term commitment to help the Finnish Defence Forces improve their battlefield capabilities, and we are confident that they will benefit from these new training systems.”
