Rheinmetall UK and Mercedes-Benz UK have formalised their partnership as they plan to support the British Army’s future tactical mobility requirements under the Land Mobility Programme.
Under the Team Wolf initiative, the companies will combine Mercedes-Benz’s vehicle technology with Rheinmetall’s defence integration expertise.

To facilitate the partnership, they will set up a Vehicle Integration Centre at Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL) in Telford, where integration, systems testing and validation for new military vehicles will be carried out.
The facility is expected to act as the focal point for assembling the Wolf family of tactical vehicles, sustaining critical expertise within the UK.
The collaboration aims to support the British Army’s future operational requirements by providing a fleet of mission-ready mobility solutions.
Team Wolf plans to include up to 50% UK-sourced content in its vehicles, with the intention of providing opportunities for 30 British suppliers and small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and supporting skilled jobs in engineering, integration, and the broader supply chain.

“Establishing the Vehicle Integration Centre at Telford is central to that ambition. It puts British engineering, integration and skills at the heart of our delivery model and provides a strong UK foundation from which we can deliver, support and evolve capability over the long term.”
The formalisation of the partnership comes as the companies unveiled their latest vehicle additions, Timber Wolf and Silver Wolf at the ongoing UK’s biennial land defence industry exhibition, DVD.
According to Rheinmetall, the new vehicles are designed around the Mercedes-Benz G-Class platform and are intended for rescue and special operations.
The new vehicles will complement the Shadow Wolf tactical vehicle, unveiled at DSEI 2025, and the Caracal modular family of tactical airborne vehicles.
Team Wolf offers a range of vehicles for roles including mobility, command, ambulance, troop transport, sustainment, and other specialist functions, all based on shared chassis, systems, interfaces, training, and support.
This standardisation is intended to streamline training, maintenance, and sustainment, with the aim of maintaining higher fleet availability and readiness over its service life.
