EDGE Europe’s operational launch is marked by two main sites.

The head office in the Chaillot district of central Paris will serve as the centre for government engagement, regional partnerships, and investment.

In addition to the Paris headquarters, an engineering and manufacturing hub has been set up in Bordeaux.

Bordeaux is known for its strong aerospace and defence industry, with an extensive supply chain and close proximity to universities and research institutions.

This location provides EDGE Europe with access to specialist engineering talent and advanced technology resources.

According to EDGE, the new entity will partner with established defence firms, emerging technology companies, universities, and research centres throughout Europe.

The aim is to deliver integrated, multi-domain capabilities that include autonomous systems, propulsion, AI, electronic warfare, sensors, and advanced communications.

These capabilities will be developed and manufactured on European soil, with recruitment and development of local talent as part of the strategy.

EDGE Europe states that its approach is intended to build technology for European customers and the wider market, while also creating high-skilled jobs within the region.

EDGE Group chairman Faisal Al Bannai said: “Europe stands at a defining moment for its defence, and EDGE has come to be part of its future.

“We are here to invest in its talent, build alongside its industry, and create lasting capability on European soil.”

EDGE Europe’s foundation is supported by a growing industrial base across the continent. It has recently acquired large stakes in Milrem Robotics in Estonia, Anavia in Switzerland, and Flaris in Poland, and plans to acquire CMD in Italy.

The company also created joint ventures with Fincantieri and Indra Sistemas, alongside strategic partnerships with Leonardo and Safran.
