The deal, structured through Computable Insights, a Salesforce subsidiary, aims to provide the Department of Defense (DoD) with data management and cloud technology solutions designed to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.

Under the agreement, Salesforce will supply its Missionforce National Security platform, which the company states will support the DoD in consolidating data and streamlining operations across personnel, logistics, and case management.

This platform is intended to serve millions of service members, civilian staff, military partners, and their dependents by integrating disparate systems into a single interoperable environment.

According to Salesforce, the new contract allows the Army and DoD to scale technology deployments rapidly, reduce procurement timelines, and manage costs more predictably.

Missionforce and Government Cloud CEO Kendall Collins said: “This new contract, which builds on more than a decade-long relationship between Salesforce and the US Armed Forces, will operationalise Missionforce across the Army and DoD, delivering trusted data and seamless interoperability, and supporting the DoD’s transformation into an agentic enterprise.

“From recruiting to the tactical edge, Salesforce is equipping our forces with technology built for today’s dynamic environments—streamlining operations, increasing readiness, and enabling those who serve to stay focused on the mission.”

The deal follows several previous modernisation projects involving Salesforce within the US military.

The Army Human Resources Command (HRC) modernised its main service centre using Salesforce technology, completing the project four months ahead of schedule and under budget.

The US Army is now introducing an AI-powered customer relationship management system intended to provide HRC employees and soldiers with virtual support agents.

This system is designed to offer self-service tools for soldiers, veterans, and their families.

Additionally, Salesforce is working with the Army Accessions Information Environment (AIE) by equipping 28,000 personnel recruiters with integrated customer relationship management (CRM) tools to improve recruitment workflows using mobile-enabled capabilities.
