Leidos has secured a follow-on prime contract to provide comprehensive technology-enabled services and support to the US Army.  

The follow-on task order, which is potentially valued up to $267m, was awarded by Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground.

It will see Leidos provide hardware sustainment, modernisation, refresher training, and logistics support.  

The base period of this Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services (RS3) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract is around 11 months, with the possibility of extension through four one-year options. 

As part of the follow-on RS3 IDIQ task order, Leidos will leverage its expertise in command, control, communication, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR) to enhance Army hardware capabilities.  

The company will evaluate these C5ISR capabilities against performance parameters, configure hardware setups, while also execute necessary upgrades for the US Army.

In addition to hardware upgrades, Leidos will facilitate equipment warehousing, shipping, as well as warranty repair coordination.  

This comprehensive support underscores the company’s role in maintaining the of Army systems. 

Work carried out under this order will further bolster the efforts of the Communications Electronics Command, Field Support Directorate, Force Modernization Division, and Integrated Logistics Support Center. 

Leidos Engineering, Integration & Operations senior vice-president Jason McCarthy said: “These are critical capabilities and training our customer needs to deliver and modernise tactical network environments for the warfighters at the point of need. 

“We are proud to provide the Army with the digital workflows needed to support C5ISR hardware services.” 

Leidos has a longstanding relationship with the US Army, having fielded nearly 9,000 C5ISR systems since February 2011.  

The company has also delivered close to 13,000 training courses to more than 167,000 soldiers, demonstrating its commitment to the US Army’s mission readiness and force modernisation. 

Recently, Leidos received a prime contract to improve the US Army National Guard’s aviation training services as well as operational support.
