The US Army has awarded two contracts worth $12m to VSE Corporation to repair and refurbish the Defense Department’s equipment.

Under the first $10m contract, VSE will refurbish army S-280 and S-250 equipment shelters that store communications and other transportable electronic equipment.

Refurbishment services include inspection, repair, sealing, blasting, painting and testing of the shelters.

The second contract from Red River Army Depot (RRAD) includes repair of 68 of the army’s fleet of 5,000gal fuel tankers.

With the help of RRAD, VSE will blast, paint and repair the tanker frames and fix damaged tanker bodies with fuel tanker self-sealant system coating.
