EADS Defence and Security has fought off stiff competition to be awarded the border security programme for the whole of Saudi Arabia.

Under the five-year contract, EADS will supply a visibility and operational awareness solution for about 9,000km of borderline territory that covers mountain and desert terrain as well as sea borders.
