The US Army has selected AtHoc, an emergency notification systems maker, to deploy a network-centric emergency alerting system in the army’s Fort Bliss centre, Texas.
The IWSAlerts IP-based mass notification system will enable the command to deliver emergency alerts through multiple devices such as computers, mobile and landline phones, and the fort’s public address system through a unified web console.

The deployment of the alert system is part of third -generation mass notification technology upgrade by the Department of Defense.
