The US Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has extended its telecommunications support services contract with MicroTech as part of its ballistic missile defence programme.
The $25m extension contract will continue MicroTech’s video teleconferencing support services for the US defence authorities.

The visual telecommunications (VTC) solutions include infrastructure services such as audio and video bridging for simultaneous connections between multiple sites, audiovisual communications like video teleconferencing systems, secure conferencing solutions such as multipoint video, secure audio bridging and multiclass S3.
MicroTech president and CEO Tony Jimenez said that, the MDA conducts over two million port-minutes and 25,000 VTC sessions a year.
