The EL/M-2032 is an advanced multimode airborne fire control radar designed for multi-role fighter aircraft, oriented for air-to-air and strike missions. The radar can identify and classify a range of targets at long ranges and will provide high-resolution combat arena maps.

The system features a modular hardware design, software control and flexible avionic interfaces, which greatly enhance the air-to-air, air-to-ground and air-to-sea capabilities of the aircraft.

The radars will be jointly manufactured with South Korean sensors and communications equipment maker LIG Nex1 and are expected to be operational in 2012.
