The suspension kits improve ride quality and handling, enhance vehicle control and increase load-carrying capacity for more fire package flexibility.

The vehicles to be upgraded with TAK-4 include MRAP-All Terrain Vehicle and the Palletized Load System, as well as the US Marine Corps’ Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement and Logistics Vehicle System Replacement.

Oshkosh Corporation chairman and chief executive officer Robert G Bohn said the TAK-4 is a more durable alternative than straight-axle suspensions, providing improved performance and greater crew comfort on rugged terrain.

Oshkosh has developed a suspension kit for RG-33 USSOCOM variant in cooperation with BAE Systems following a successful testing phase on the RG-33 MRAP upgraded with the TAK-4 system that significantly improved the vehicle’s mobility.
