The US Army has selected Collins Aerospace to produce the Mounted Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing System (MAPS) Gen II.
The five-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) production contract is valued at $583m.

Under a competitive Other Transaction Authority (OTA) phase of the MAPS Gen II programme, the system displayed its ability to fight positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) threats.
With Collins Aerospace’s NavHub-100 navigation system and Multi-Sensor Antenna System, MAPS Gen II offers advanced PNT capabilities for both crewed and uncrewed ground vehicles.
According to the company, the system can support ‘multi-domain operations and mitigate the evolving electronic threats that warfighters are facing today and will face into the future’.
With weapons placed in position, the system guides the soldiers to move through high-threat environments.

By GlobalDataCollins’ NavFusion technology also helps the MAPS Gen II to provide high-integrity and precise navigation solutions to counter peer and near-peer threats.
NavFusion’s anti-jamming and anti-spoofing technology links data from various sensors with M-code GPS.
The system also works well with the Collins Aerospace PRC-162 manpack radio as part of the US Army’s Joint All Domain Command and Control programme.
