Oshkosh will rebuild the heavily used HEMTT vehicles to new condition and upgrade to the new A4 configuration, which provides a significant cost saving compared with new vehicles.

Upgrades to the new HEMTT A4 vehicles include a more powerful drive train, improved suspension, a fully air-conditioned and armour-ready cab, and other structural changes to make in-the-field installation of add-on armour quicker and easier.

Deliveries of the HEMTT vehicles will begin in July 2010 and continue until September 2011 while PLS trailer production will run from June 2011 to October 2011.
